Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the BoardCount mobile application, the BoardCount website, and related calculators, guides, estimates, and exports. BoardCount is provided by Iron Canyon Ventures LLC. By using BoardCount, you agree to these terms.

BoardCount is an estimating tool

BoardCount helps users organize measurements and assumptions for drywall material and job estimates. It does not inspect a jobsite, verify measurements, determine code compliance, provide engineering or legal advice, or guarantee material availability, labor output, project cost, profit, or project outcome.

You are responsible for the information you enter and the decisions you make from the results. You must independently verify measurements, quantities, prices, labor rates, taxes, waste, finish requirements, building-code requirements, contract terms, and jobsite conditions before relying on an estimate.

Estimate disclaimer

BoardCount provides estimates based on the measurements, pricing, labor rates, waste factors, and assumptions entered by the user. Always verify quantities, dimensions, prices, taxes, code requirements, and jobsite conditions before ordering materials, signing a contract, or starting work.

Proposals are not legal forms

BoardCount can format user-entered scope, pricing, payment terms, and signature lines into a proposal. It does not determine whether that proposal is a legally sufficient contract. Construction, home-improvement, deposit, cancellation, licensing, disclosure, and payment rules vary by jurisdiction. The contractor is responsible for obtaining qualified legal advice and including every contract term, notice, and disclosure required for the project.

BoardCount does not recommend a deposit percentage or payment schedule. Users must enter lawful payment terms appropriate to the project location and independently verify them before presenting a proposal to a client.

License

Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable licensed-application terms, Iron Canyon Ventures LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use BoardCount for lawful estimating and planning. BoardCount, its software, branding, and original content remain the property of Iron Canyon Ventures LLC and its licensors.

Software provided as is

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BoardCount and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that BoardCount will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate for every project, compatible with every device, or available at all times.

Acceptable use

You may use BoardCount for lawful estimating and planning purposes. You may not:

• use BoardCount to violate a law, regulation, contract, or third-party right;
• attempt to interfere with, disable, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app, website, or related systems;
• reverse engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute BoardCount except as allowed by applicable law;
• misrepresent BoardCount output as independently verified, guaranteed, engineered, or code-approved;
• use automated methods to scrape or abuse the website in a way that disrupts service for others.

Your data and exports

You control the measurements, job details, pricing, business information, and other content you enter. You are responsible for reviewing PDFs and other exports before sharing them. Do not include information you are not authorized to use or disclose. Current information about data handling is available in the BoardCount Privacy Policy.

Purchases and third-party services

App purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple’s terms. Links to Apple, PostHog, or other third-party services are provided for convenience. Those services control their own availability, terms, and privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Iron Canyon Ventures LLC and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profit or revenue; lost data; business interruption; material overages or shortages; labor overruns; rejected bids; contract disputes; property damage; or costs arising from reliance on BoardCount estimates.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability related to BoardCount will not exceed the amount you paid for BoardCount. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Termination

These Terms remain effective while you use BoardCount. We may suspend access to online services for material misuse or violation of these Terms, subject to applicable law. Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limitations, will survive.

Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the law of your residence provides mandatory protections that cannot be waived. Any dispute not subject to a mandatory local forum will be brought in state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.

Changes and availability

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features, formulas, content, or these Terms as the product evolves. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
