Who is BoardCount for?
Small drywall contractors, hangers, finishers, and remodelers who measure, price, and sell their own jobs. It is built for pricing a job on site or from the truck, not for an estimating department.
Does BoardCount do takeoffs from blueprints?
No. BoardCount does not read plans or measure from blueprints. You enter each room's length, width, and height plus doors and windows, and it calculates the sheets and finish materials. If you already have square footage from your own takeoff, the free Quick Calc takes wall and ceiling square feet.
Do I have to enter a sheet count?
No. You enter measurements and BoardCount works out the sheets, rounding up to whole boards and adding the waste percentage you set.
Can I send the customer a proposal from my phone?
Yes, with BoardCount Pro. It creates a client proposal PDF with your company details, scope, exclusions, terms, and one total, and a separate internal estimate that keeps your labor rate and markup private.
Does it work without cell service?
Yes. BoardCount works offline, and jobs are saved on the device.
